Heraldry – A Shocking Discovery
May 29, 2008
About six months ago I received a prophecy from an established prophet that partially had to do with my ancestry. One line from the prophecy was, “. . . You have a great territorial authority that you’ve known not of and your words carry great authority.” The prophecy went more into depth and dealt more with the prayers of my ancestors and a mantle that had been laid down and was now ready to be picked back up as a result of their prayers.
Well, obviously i became very curious about my ancestors. I began asking around in my family to find out who knew anything about our heritage. Nobody really seemed to know anything of where our name came from. So we all guessed that the name “Ulery” sounded German to us. We were very wrong.
I recently went to a heraldry location that is ranked #4 in the nation with the swyrich Corporation. The industry leader in surname histories and coat of arms. I paid to have a report printed out. I was blown away by what i found.
It ends up that my ancestors where the ancient Kings of Ireland. Definitely not German. One section from the report reads, “These royal lines would later produce such great kings as the 4th century King Niall of the nine hostages who died in France while cutting off the retreat of the Romans from Britain, and King Brian Boru who died in the battle of Clontarf in 1014, finally expelling the Vikings from Dublin and Ireland. The great Gaelic family Ulery emerged in later years in County of Cork. They were descended from the ancient Kings of Munster, specifically Laothaire who later became the king of all Ireland . . .”
Wow.
Another line, “This scholarly Clann [referring to the Ulery clan] contributed greatly to the culture of Ireland, producing poets, writers, artist, lawyers, and doctors. [this was later after they had been moved by the Anglo Norman invasion of 1172]” It then goes on to name some of them.
Needless to say i was quite surprised by all of this. It’s not everyday that you discover that you are a descendant of an ancient line of kings. It’s been fun researching it out.
The Ulery family crest motto “Laidir ise lear Righ” translates, “Strong is the King of the sea”
Above is the Ulery family crest.
If you’ve never searched out your ancestry you may want to consider doing so. You may be surprised by what you find.
Below is a map of the provinces of Ireland. My ancestors were the Kings of Munster. Munster is the lower purple section. Sometimes referred to as the “legs of Ireland.” My clan was from Cork, the largest county of Ireland and the capital of the province of Munster. The Kings ruled from Tipperary where the Rock of Cashel (their fortress) was located. Before the county system was introduced Munster was divided by Tuaths or Clans and the King of Munster presided over these.
If you click on the image you will get an enlarged view where you can see where Cork and Tipperary are located.
Below are pictures of the Rock of Cashel. My ancestors home. The Rock of Cashel “Carraig Phadraig” also known as Cashel of the Kings and St. Patrick’s Rock served as the traditional seat of the Kings of Munster (who i descended from) for several hundred years prior to the Norman invasion.
According to legend, St. Patrick arrived in Cashel in AD 432 and baptized King Aengus, who became Ireland’s first Christian ruler. During the baptism of King Aengus, St. Patrick plucked a 3 leaf shamrock to explain the mystery of the Holy Trinity, and so gave Christian Ireland a powerful new emblem that is still associated with Ireland today. This is also the location where Brian Boru was crowned King.
Here you see a closer up vew of how it sits on an elevation of stratified limestone.
I plan on making a visit to Ireland to further explore and understand my heritage.
Ireland “The Emerald Isle” is said to be a land of ancient cultures with a wealth of prehistoric and medieval cultural sites. Plus is said to have breathtaking natural beauty.
St. Patrick, the Patron Saint of Ireland established christianity in Ireland during the fifth century AD. Evidence of early christianity is found across the land in the form of monasteries, high crosses and round towers. So cool. I am excited to see it.
My first radio interview (watch video)
May 27, 2008
This is pretty cool. I had actually forgotten about this when i remembered it today when i was checking up with some of my friends. And. . . it’s not really MY interview, it was “The Revealings” interview, and Tony did the majority of the talking, but still . . .
This is probably from two years ago or so, but at that time i was playing with a band called “The Revealing” they had just finished their first album in Nashville and were starting to play around when i joined as their drummer. Later on i ended up moving away as i felt God was calling me in a different direction but they are still hittin’ it. So check them out at www.therevealing.com or www.myspace.com/therevealingband.
After listening to this it kind of caught me by suprise how much of a hick i sounded like. I didn’t realize my accent was that thick. Anyways, this is us with Jeff Matthews on B98.5 for the “Sunday Morning Cafe” show. Interestingly, B98.5 is not a Christian station. But Jeff Matthews is tho.
This is an old video so i look a lot different, but i’m the one sitting in the corner playing the djembe. (sp) Oh, and FYI, when Tony talks about Jen “Chris’ wife” He is talking about Chris EARLS. Not me, I’m Chris ULERY. I don’t have a wife. Just to make sure there is no confusion.
Just click on the links below to see the videos.

New sites and the SoT Conference
May 16, 2008
Brand new sites for my production company and for my ministry are now up.
Check out www.CHPHMinistries.com and www.CHPHProductions.com to see them.
Also a couple of weeks ago i was in Nashville for a Sons of Thunder conference at a school that i am a graduate of. It was totally AWESOME! I got to hang around Rick Pino and Richie Clark of Radiant Worship all weekend long! Rick Pino gave us all free cds! Also way cool people like James Ryle and Ray Hughes were there too. Ray Hughes affectionately calls me ”Arkansas boy.” Okay, well maybe not affectionately, but i like to pretend so. I’m just honored that he always knows and remembers where i’m from. lol. I will be posting pictures as soon as i can get my hands on them. It was cool that some of the alumni got to go back and play for the conference. I love that place.
And the coolest part of all is that God met me there and totally rocked my face off and met me in new and more intimate ways than i have ever experienced before. It was the most wonderful feeling ever. I was buzzing for several hours after God met with me. Wow it was good. God is good, Christ is beautiful, and i love life.
Miracles happening in Little Rock, Arkansas!
May 5, 2008
I’m sure most of you have already heard of the Lakeland Healing Revival happening in Lakeland, Florida. Well, I haven’t yet had the opportunity to make it out to Lakeland, but I have gotten to experience miracles right here in my own hometown of Little Rock, Arkansas.
I saw an advertisement for a “Healing Conference” come on TV saying to come to the conference expecting to be healed. (And yes it was completely free to attend, just thought I should mention that before anyone started making any televangelists comments) So I went to several of the meetings both day and night sessions at Agape Church in Little Rock as ministers Ed and Nancy Dufresne, Keith Moore, and Pastor Happy Caldwell preached and prayed for people. It was awesome teaching and as they began praying for people miracles started to happen.
Some of the most notable miracles were cists disappearing off of peoples bodies, screws disappearing out of a mans knee, an arm that grew out a couple inches to match the length of the other, and lots of hearing problems and deafness that were cured. The very last night of the conference I would guess that around 50 to 60 people came up to testify of miracles that had happened to them that night. It was a very memorable and encouraging night that I don’t think I will ever forget. It was awesome to see the kind of faith and boldness that the ministers displayed at this conference. It was obviously a gift from God. My dad was also attending the conferences and he got healed of a stomach issue while we were there.
If you haven’t yet heard of the Lakeland Outpouring then you can watch it on www.God.tv or www.freshfire.ca as they broadcast it live every night.
A friend/mentor of mine also sent me a really cool blog entry (with photos) from a non Christian that had an encounter with Todd Bentley (The evangelists preaching at the Lakeland outpouring) on the streets of New York. I’m very grateful that the blogger was there to document the experience. It was very interesting to see through the eyes of an unbeliever as ministry was taking place on the streets. You can read that entry here.

The picture of the woman that looked “ill” (using the bloggers words) is the friend/mentor (Johanna) that sent me the link. Be sure to read the comments on the blog as well. They are interesting.
Enjoy!
